FNSI and the old blog......

I joined in with FNSI last night and cast on a new project to give me a break from BLACK!!!!!!!  Its called WesterWaldWaves by Kaeidschie which was available for free on the internet.  Can't remember if it was through Raverly or not.  So many stitch markers and 294 sts later I just managed the first 8-10 rows  I changed the band on it because I didn't want too much garter stitch on the edge.  It is from some of the mohair that I overdyed in the last post.

Sarah's Chunky cardigan is progressing well.  BWM 12ply charcoal is what I am using so it is knitting up fast.

This is a scarf that I crocheted over a couple of nights to give me a break from Sarah's cardigan.  It is from some mohair and alpaca that I spun then dyed.  Came together lovely but will need blocking.

The old blog has been merged with this one and it is now shut down.  I hope my lovely followers have seen and reconnected with me.

Now to head over and visit some other blogs as I have a lot of catching up to do (as usual).

So many lovely projects, all so different. The scarf is a gorgeous colour.
It looks like chunky is back in style. You're very clever.
Cheers, Anita.

Hi Katherine,
I managed to open your comment box, hurrah!, I am having a problem with some, but it seems that I am not the only one, so Blogger problem rather then mine.
I like the look of the top project, it looks interesting.
Thank you for leaving lovely comments on my blog :-) Enjoy your weekend,
xx

Such beautiful yarn projects. Will be watching them progress :)

294 stitches to cast on! I hate long cast ons, I never count them right! But I can see that the beautiful green is a nice break from the black. You put together some beautiful colours in that scarf, too. I see you're busy!

Lovely yarn you are using for your new project. Your cardigan is growing nicely and you have finished a nice scarf.

Beautiful woolly projects on the go, I too love Bendigo Woollen Mill wool but I usually get the 4ply for my projects :) Barb.

Thanks Anita. Certainly been enjoying myself with woolly projects around heaps of gardening.

Thanks Radka. I am just wondering why I never received an email about these comments. Might need to look into that with blogger too lol. Although it could have something to do with the new laptops email settings!

Thank you for visiting Edi. I was gifted another 5 fleeces yesterday so will have to get stuck into lots of prepping so I can do lots of spinning now that the weather is getting warm.

LOL Monica always busy! Never enough hours in the day at the moment. Yep cast on that many and knit the first pattern block to find out there is either a mistake in the pattern or I keep growing stitches. So pulled it out back to the garter stitch rows to give it another go but haven't got back to it yet. Maybe tonight after tea.

Thank you Karen for visiting. I have been having loads of fun with dyes and spinning etc that I must one day get back into some stitching too.

Thanks Maria. I have been enjoying myself creating new yarns from old stuff sitting around and also spinning it. Such a peaceful pastime

Thanks Barb I have always favoured BWM over all other brands but really enjoy spinning and dyeing fleece now. Their 4 ply looks great in your blankets that you make and they would end up much lighter in weight too. Do you use the wool or the cotton?

The gold variegation of the WesterWaldWaves is lovely. I appreciated the need to take breaks from the black - though the black will look good.

Gosh, yay, I have found you again! Not your fault, I did something odd with the new address which sent me somewhere weird! So just bear with my late commenting, just catching up now :)
Lovely green, there's no way I would get both the number of stitches and markers right with such a number to cast on, eek! It would be a lovely break from the charcoal, though you are making fabulous progress there too :)
